Q: What is ProStar Pickleball Academy?
A: Pro Star Pickleball is a coaching academy based in the Washington, D.C. area that offers high-quality pickleball instruction for juniors. Our goal is to help junior players of all levels build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for the game.
Q: Do you have adult coaching programs?
A: Currently, PSPA offers only Junior coaching programs. However, we will be offering adult programs soon. Follow us on our social channels and or join our mailing list to receive the latest information!
Q: Do I need playing experience to join your programs?
A: Not at all! We offer programs for every level—from complete beginners to competitive players looking to refine their performance.
Junior Programs
Q: What ages do you work with?
A: We coach juniors ages 8–18 through structured development tracks that progress from beginner to performance levels..
Q: What’s the difference between the Beginner Track and the Performance Track?
A: The Beginners Track focuses on fundamentals, fun, and game understanding, while the High Performance Track prepares committed juniors for competitive play through advanced skill work, fitness, and match strategy.
Q: How often do junior programs run?
A: We offer after-school and weekend sessions throughout the year, with seasonal camps during school breaks.
School Programs
Q: How do your school programs work?
A: We partner with schools to bring pickleball directly to students—either at schools through after-school programs or offsite at one of our partner locations. We provide all equipment and trained coaches.
Q: What is required from the school?
A: A gym space or a tennis court for coaching sessions. Also some basic help promoting the programs as well. We handle everything else, including setup, equipment, and coaching.
Q: Is there a cost to the school?
A: Initial demonstrations and awareness sessions are offered at no cost. Ongoing programs can be structured through school funding, PTA support, or direct student registration.
Private Lessons & Coaching
Q: Do you offer private lessons?
A: Yes, we provide one-on-one and small group private coaching tailored to each player’s goals and skill level.
Q: Who are your coaches?
A: Our coaching team includes IPTPA and PPR-certified instructors with years of teaching and playing experience at competitive levels.
Getting Started
Q: How do I know which program is right for me?
A: You can schedule a short skills assessment or chat with one of our coaches to find the perfect fit for your level and goals.
Q: Can I try a class before committing to a full program?
A: Yes, we often offer “Discovery Days” or intro sessions where you can experience a class before enrolling.
